My reply was a little "tongue in cheek". Any quality brand rings and bases are better than any Chinese knock-offs of the same product. I have found lots of accesories on Ebay are designed for air soft applications, and not the real world of hunting or serious competition.
I guess you are lucky you discovered how crappy they were now, instead of half-way through a match when your scope falls to the ground in front of all the spectators. Go for the Murphy Titanium Rail and Farrell steel rings, or somewhere between that and what you bought.
I read somewhere about sprinkling cayenne pepper (powder) in the soil where they like to dig. When they get a whiff of that, they won't go to that spot anymore. Not sure if that cures them or just makes them go to another spot. Worth a try.
Understood. I couldn't find anything on any of the containers about where they are manufactured. Looking at the "About us" on the website, it states" ...our products are manufactured exclusively in the United States in NSF certified facilities.... assuring that every product you purchase from us...
No problem RemingtonRules, I've been using it for several years, and it seems to help. Might be psychological, but hey I've got to spend my mad money on something.
Until March 17, you can get 25% off your Wilderness Athlete order by using SPRING24 I stocked up on some Hydrate & Recover, Multi Vitamins, and Altitude Advantage.
Yes, I also remember hearing that the 168 is designed to open at a lower velocity than the 165. It was on Barnes' website, and also on a Youtube video about Barnes bullets where Ms. Barnes (??) or another female person from Barnes explained the rationale of lower velocities in the .308 Win and...
I read a while back it was coming, and Colorado asked for input by having us register on the "Engage CPW" website. Draw only for archery??? Whose idea was that?? As a non-resident I would expect it for me, but not for residents.
Use a pin punch to drive it in another 1/8", then fill the hole up with filler. Touch up paint to finish it. Probably be undetectable after. Drill the needed hole for riser in a different spot with a quality drill bit so you don't have a dejavu. Good luck !! Pics before and after to let us know...
The casino has been closed since covid. We go to Chama every year (since 1990) for my annual elk hunt, and made a trip to Dulce for the casino once or twice each time just for something to do before and after the hunt. The hotel used to be a Best Western, but has since changed it's name...
Also, never substitute any component for another without reducing the load and slowly working up. Changing a primer, and substituting IMR-4350 for H-4350, and adding a Barnes Mono instead of a cup and core might not cause a serious problem if each is done separately, but do all three at once and...
With a manual, you have an established reliable source for reloading data. Never accept anyone's reloading recipe off of the internet regardless of what they say it does, unless you can confirm it is within safe guidelines of data in your manual. It's too easy for someone to mis-type a number...
Maybe this rifle doesn't like the ammunition?? Try another brand with a different bullet type, weight, etc? If you get similar results, I would blame it on the scope.
This^^^ If you have a problem within the 2 year period, you bring the scope back to Cabela's and they will give you a new one. You won't have to call Leupold and get told you overtightened the rings mounted it wrong don't know how to shoot blah blah blah wait for an RMA # send it in wait for a...
