Yes Sir I think you nailed it, yep kinda my thinking, other wise compound bows wouldn't be allowed either (Same debate when the compound came out.)
We would all still be shooting the long bow or recurve bow,and those with Disabilities sitting on the sideline
Well I see. Lets not let a few bad apples ruin the whole barrel, I still keep my limit to 50 yards max. even with my disabilities it's a challenge to get that close.
I have a Excalibur myself, (due to medical reasons) If that crossbow gets you and the Kids out to hunt more power to you. Some guys will give you a hard time about it but Please remember all Doctor excuses arn't FAKE. Some are the only way one can hunt.
One Size doesn't fit all.
I'll be the first to admit rules change, back in the 80's when I was a Game warden there, scopes were not allowed during the muzzleloader season, I've not hunted there for years now. I do like the change I think it's for the better less lost Game.
remember a clean cold bore shot will most likely be a inch or two low I up my powder charge 5 gr. to offset this.
also does Kansas now allow scopes on a muzzleloader ? Last time I hunted in Kansas they were not allowed, you might want to check on this if you haven't.
Yes sir it depends on the area he hunts which also depends on the area's that are open @the time.
Kansasdad have you hunted with a in line muzzleloader before ?? Sweet looking set up.
Not if the rain or early snow sets in you'll want the stove, my stove has the hot water tank on the side too, great time saver when your getting out in the morning- ( I've got to have my coffee first thing) but you can heat almost any thing in hot water.
check out Davis Tent and awning out of...
maybe back off your load a little and use it on the range, then go back to your normal load for hunting.
Factory sealed can should be good as new just smell it it shouldn't smell bad, if it does play it safe and make fertilizer out of it. Black powder keeps for many many years I have some that is...
