Best Release for Beginner Archery (Compound Bow)

I recommend the buckle strap, quieter than velcro and puts more consistent tension around your wrist.

Best Release for Beginner Archery (Compound Bow)

Scott Itty bitty goose. Stay away from velcro, most places will let you shoot and try out a few.

    Leupold Rangefiner

I got the 1200, got my wife the 1400. Love em both, but the 1400 feels lighter.

    RIA vs 2.0

Looking for one to stuff under the bino harness for peace of mind, 10mm will do the job for black bears and mountain lions and I get an excuse to buy a gun

    RIA vs 2.0

Looking into getting a 10mm. So far its between a Rock Island 1911 and S&W 2.0. Anybody have any experience with either? For under $650 seems too good to be true for a 1911, I also know that expensive doesn't always mean good either. Not sure what would be the better bet for reliability for a...

I've emailed western powders before about a specific bullet weight and powder, they always sent a recipe and other info promptly.

    Shaft straightness necessity?

Tuning your arrow to your bow I'd say is more important. I shoot my Doug fir arrows out to 30+ plus yards but they are tuned to my bow.

    WTB Kids Camo

If these will work let me know, the hat is reversible. Pet friendly smoke free home. My daughter out grew them. I'd say the hat is a youth size.

    Ditching the Dip

Been tobacco free for 7 years now. Still get urges from time to time. The thing that helped me quit was paying for gas at the pump, way too easy to get a few cans inside the gas station.

Recommendations for a bow for my wife

My wife shoots a Quest from G5, shoots good, fairly quiet and well balanced. It'll push an arrow thru a deer just like my fancy Elite.

    New setup

I did the ebay route a few years ago, flagship model bow but a few years old new in box never shot for a good few hundred dollars less. Practice shooting your broadheads too, I've had a few that like to fly a little bit different than field tips.

    First truck and current truck.

First truck was a 77 chevy which drank gas and "almost" impossible to get stuck. Current is a 2011 f150 supercrew with topper and 5.5 foot bed.

    "Choice" Ammo

Check out copper creek cartridge, bought some of their reloading stuff but their hand loaded ammo is about $15 cheaper. Totally agree ammo prices have gone crazy.

Buy new duck decoys or fix old ones

I also wouldn't hesitate to buy used decoys. I'd also give Dakota Decoy a look, good smallish town SD company.
