    Random Gear Question

Hey all, buddy of mine had hiking poles or trekking poles on our last hunt. I was surprised how much of a difference they made when packing out meat. Curious what poles you all use if any. Obviously looking for light weight and durable. Thanks

New guy needs help with buying a pack

I have the eberlestock RMEF edition and it has been good for me. Packed out 5 elk with it and also packed in a 5 day hunt worth of gear. Use it for single or multi day packs. Oddly enough I have been really sold on trying an EXO pack. Not sure I can justify the 500+$ but. I even have a...

    Raghorn Express.

Congrats! I'm still one of the guys that's happy with any elk with a bow. The first elk and bull I ever got was with a bow, strait on at 3 or 4 yards. Right place right time.

Thanks for the info. Our outfitter mentioned bird hunting and said he had multiple "ponds"? We can fish in. Said we can catch 5lb rainbows all day... sounds fun. I'm using a 338 win mag and went with 225 grain nosler accubonds.

Buddies who helped me tried to talk me into a drain, but I opted for no drain and made it water tight. However I will do my best to limit actual "water" that is in there.
