I have a cousin in his mid 20s that was camping in National Forest in Colorado this past summer in a fairly remote area. They were sitting by a camp fire around 10pm and had 3 guys walk into their camp with pistols. Took their wallets, phones, truck keys, guns and coolers. They had seen a truck...
The reissue list was up this morning, my uncle said he looked at it. I have looked all afternoon and it pulls a blank list from week of July 15th?? anyone else having these issues?
I have a feeling they total deer tag numbers wont change in a single unit. For example, they may give out 100 tags total. They give 50 2nd season, 30 3rd season and 20 4th season. I imagine they will just redistribute some quantity to 1st while maintaining the same total in the unit.
My understanding, and please correct me if I am off, but the Ambler mine has been there since the 50's and "the development of the mineral resources has been limited due to a lack of transportation infrastructure" I agree, that regardless of how anyone feels about the mine, nothing can be done...
A few really good reissue Elk Muzzleloader tags on the reissue list, half way through the season.... 201 and it took 25 pts to draw, was offered to next in line, but probably couldn't take that tag on a few days notice. Now here we sit 4 days into the season, someone can get online tomorrow but...
I have spent some time in the area, I was really surprised how green most of it was but A LOT was weeds and not quality feed for elk. So that's another thing to keep in mind.
It is some what comical, 6 adults put in for this single tag, and they passed up all 6 1st choice options, 4 adult second choice options to give it to a youth as second choice......
I will certainly draw my second choice cow tag, there were left overs up until a week before the season last year. Its the 1st choice that is highly unlikely for me.
He was my initial pick to go the distance..... goes to show what a minor mistake can do, but I am really curious what happened. He seemed to be doing everything right, but then again not everything is on camera when self filming.
I carry a good first aid kit, tire plug kit, small 12V compressor, pressure gauge, tow strap, shackles, tire chains and if I am on some good backcountry dirt roads maybe a 6 pack in a cooler in the backseat.....
I run them on my X-bolt and have had zero issues. I gave them a try because i was interested in the one piece design and all the reviews I read were positive. I have a hells canyon and could match the cerakote color also.
As everyone has said, been a very warm fall and hard to say when even the mountains will have good ice. Check out the South Park area, Antero, Terryall and 11 mile are all good lakes, and roughly a 2 hour drive in good weather from Littleton. You should be able to find the conditions on these...
I picked up a Zoleo this summer and used camping and archery season and am very pleased. I have not owned a Garmin or Spot, so I have nothing to compare it to, but it worked great for me with zero issues. Price was better than the Garmin also! Still have two hunts coming up, one first week of...
