MT opener
Drove 3 hours east Friday night to go look at some mule deer does. Couple lopers on private. No mule deer bucks at all. Came home early and checked my local spots. No shooters but found a handful of bucks. Unfortunately they’ll be shot by weeks end.- ZMT588

DIY Velvet Euro
It wasn’t terrible. I ended up buying some velvet cure and injecting it inside the velvet. I had one blow out from what I imagine was a soft spot from me rubbing the velvet. Lessons learned? Don’t skyline yourself. If you think you’re in good cover think again. Movement catches deers attention. I had a small forky at 10 yards. We had a stare down for 20 minutes before I had to adjust my seating situation. He blew out after that. Move incredibly slow when deer are... -
Why does it have to be this way?
Turkey is just Meh IMO. Although I think the key to a good turkey or any bird starts with a good brine. Injecting butter also helps. I hate dry ass turkey, if there’s other options I’ll eat those. Watched a herd get ping ponged back and forth between two properties today. 2 unclaimed cows laying in the field last I saw. Injured a big bull too. Makes me sick. -

Made a move on some 40 elk with 3 bulls this morning playing the wind. Some jackasses walked straight up the mountain wind at their back right after the elk. Sent them over the top of the hill and out of my life. See you ****ers at the Norris honey hole this weekend. #desperate -
