Randy Newberg on Matt Rinella's Podcast

I believe you missed his work with the Greater Yellowstone Grizzly Bear Coalition as well. Correct me if I'm wrong on that @Big Fin .

    Wildife Task force 90-10, etc.

I did some statistics on it the other day. It really only seemed to "help" draw odds with units that were in the 10-30% draw range with a decent amount of tags ~100-150, with a smaller historic applicant pool, <500 applicants. Maybe @wllm can help me out with a sweet spreadsheet to illustrate...

    North Yellowstone Flooding

Not to completely derail this thread, but I would argue people of that lifestyle are admirable. I can agree with your sentiment that they are reckless and irresponsible to a degree. But they also have a lifestyle that requires more courage, drive for adventure and dedication than most folks...

    Wildife Task force 90-10, etc.

To Buzz's point, I live next to the biggest wilderness area in the State. It's the assumption that wilderness areas in Wyoming are the Mecca for elk hunting that all residents flock to every fall and thumb their noses at all the non residents on the borderlines from. Every elk I have killed in...

    Wildife Task force 90-10, etc.

The whole "compromise" deal just grinds my gears. What compromise are we supposed to be making? These are the residents of Wyoming's wildlife, NOT Wyoming Guide Association's wildlife. Why does a private financially driven group somehow have the power to dictate what happens with Wyoming's...

    Wildife Task force 90-10, etc.

This morning's session was pretty wild. Alot of back and forth discussion, I thought Sy was going to run out of steam several times but he kept plowing on ahead. I think there was some decent push back by several members on the committee regarding the outfitter and landowner set asides. They...

    Montana antelope

Just curious, did Montana change the deadline for antelope this year to June 1st? I had checked in March and I thought the app deadline was the 15th?

Bill to expand WY Wilderness areas

I'm down for more protected wilderness areas. Serves a dual purpose, more protected federal lands and it keeps all you scummy non-residents out of my honey holes 😉

Bulls for Billionaires take 2 (Wyoming edition)

That's an interesting take considering the first public comment at the end of the task force's afternoon session yesterday started with: "Outfitter set asides are not a subsidy, nor welfare. Residents don't hunt the Thorofare anyway, we should have garaunteed tags for that area every year." I...

Bulls for Billionaires take 2 (Wyoming edition)

They took it down after the session concluded yesterday but I'm assuming they will have it back up prior to the next meeting on June 8th/9th. Public comment page here: https://sites.google.com/wyo.gov/wyomingwildlifetaskforce/home/public-input

    What raft?

I bought a 13.5 ft Saturn and it's been a blast, equipped it with an NRS Bighorn frame. Its been a great boat for fishing and whitewater. She's seen water in 4 states, hit the Salmon in high runoff in June and it did just fine. For the price point its a great boat. AIRE / NRS / Mireva are...
