    Wilkes Brothers at it again.....

"Historic use" is a term i've heard thrown around, though I don't know how it would hold up in court. The article does mention some kind of agreement that was made with the pervious owner that although it wasn't a easement, may essentially count as one.

Black Hills Archery Whitetail. Stand or stalk?

Thanks for pointing me towards that thread. Still hunting is foreign to most Minnesota whitetail Hunters but we may just give it a try. Though I still might hang a stand over a nice green pasture with a stream running through it.

Black Hills Archery Whitetail. Stand or stalk?

Heading out to the Black Hills of South Dakota in late October for a whitetail archery hunt. Planning on hunting between Hill City and Pactola. would like to hear anyone's thoughts who have hunted the Hills on what would be the best method; spot and stalk or stand hunting near water sources. I...

in need of some stats: What percentage of hunters use public land?

I'm putting a article together for Sportsmen's Nation that is a bit of a bait-switch, metaphorical bag dump. The title is going to be something like "The Only 3 Things a Hunter Needs" as it seems click-baity enough. That's part of the joke, probably making people assume it will be another...

Do you REALLY not like the kill?

its just a step in the process. I always feel a little bit of remorse when I first start to open up an animal, but at some point it becomes "food" and any remorse is gone, provided the kill was clean and as ethical as I could make it.

    Public Land arsonists get pardons

Hard to follow up BigFin, and maybe I shouldn't. Regardless of how I feel about President Trump, or the completely hypothetical but-still-somehow-argued-about-as-if-it-really-happened Hillary Clinton presidency, this move by The President reeks of "virtue-signaling" to the anti-public lands...

Bow hunting Whitetail in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Any advice?

A great discussion on the unpredictability of the weather in the Hills. As someone who lived in Spearfish from Fall 2012- Fall 2013, I can attest to the hail storms, late spring snow dumps, etc. Now, when bow hunting whitetail, would you do spot and stalk, or treestand? I'm thinking a...

Bow hunting Whitetail in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Any advice?

Alright so plans have been nailed down for this year's upcoming out of Minnesota hunt. The Black Hills of South Dakota. I'm very familiar with the geography having lived in Spearfish for a year but I've never hunted the area. Any advice on bow hunting whitetails would be appreciated thanks.

    Rogan's latest podcast with Hanes.

I must have been very fortunate then, when I was in the USFS. Everyone I worked with as both a Archaeologist and on the fire line, showed nothing but 100% commitment, put in long hours and generally busted their a$$. I would say the ratio of hard workers to slackers in the Government is about...
