That's totally fair. I switched to TTSX's as well because I wanted the consistency, and I wanted to switch to copper anyways. I was just surprised you didn't have blood trails, but at the end of the day it's all anecdotal at the scale we are dealing with.- Perlodid

They just don't build beautiful hunting guns like they used to.
A winchester lever gun is clunky, but a savage 99 isn't? The grip on a 99 looks like a damn 2x4 compared to a model 94 -

Rather than summer vs winter coats - isn't this probably a factor of when the elk expired? Like if you leave an elk overnight with guts in that has been dead 8+ hours, it will almost certainly be spoiled.
