I've been on the cheap 3-5mm neoprene waders bandwagon for a while. I always get about 3-4 years out of a pair of waders before getting slow leaks. Still think I will keep going that direction, but the sims or sitka waders are starting to look appealing. Could always fall back on the cheaper...
Yeah, I have been able to with some success. Its not as good as naked ears, but still doable. I had the walker muffs the previous years, and they spend more time around my neck or in my blind bag due to wind noise, being uncomfortable, or not being able to locate the sounds etc. I seem to...
I think it would do just fine in SD wind. They handled Eastern MT just fine, and I think last year was the windiest year I can remember. Every damn day had a 30 mph wind!
Since this got brought back up, I figured I'd respond. I bought the tetra and wore them for the better part of last year, mostly waterfowl hunting. They worked great, and I had NO wind noise. They do a good job of filtering the wind out. Very happy with the purchase.
Dang! Thats a pretty good price too. I've been looking at the Camp Chef Woodwind, with the sliding grate too. But those things are expensive! Decisions...
I bought some custom molded Tetra ear buds and used them last year. Overall I was happy with them. Pretty comfortable. Worked well in the wind, and I could hear more sounds with them than without them.
They are not perfect, but definitely work better than any others I had tried. And I...
It would be a great little river boat. And "nice" weather lake boat. Just don't expect too much out of it. 3 guys and some gear would probably be a reasonable safe load.
I've had two Goldens and 1 lab. Its Goldens for me from here on out. Maybe....Maybe mix in a different breed at some point just for fun, but I will always have a working Golden.
I used to carry EMT Gel, and Benadryl. Most everything else was in my normal First Aid kit I keep in the car.
One note about Rimadyl, My lab did not do well on it. He puked blood after taking it, he was fine on Gabapentin.
I used the SmartWork Series by Evan Graham. As far as books go, it was the one that was the easiest to read and follow. His videos were not the greatest. I paired those books with the video series by Mike Lardy, Total Retriever Training. I spent way too much money over the years on training...
Love the bunk bed! Pretty sweet project. I'm thinking about doing something similar behind my in-laws cabin for a little extra room when everyone is there.
Back in the day the Soar Pro Pioneer was all the rage for that type of float hunting. Size of a canoe with the capacity of a raft. I was too broke to afford one after buying a 4-wheeler and a jet boat. Never did shoot a moose up there. lol.
My wife was getting the same result until she switched crock pots. The lid on the old one didn't seal tight, and we think let some moisture out. With the new one, everything comes out perfect.
I've got a Coleman Scanoe as well. Its at least 16ft long, and that thing is stable! I can stand up and paddle it solo while trying to look over the river bank for game. Never once felt tippy. Its been a great canoe for Ducks and deer.
That boat would be perfect for what you are describing. But I have been seeing a few of the surface drives running the rivers recently.
I run a 16 foot jon w/ a 60/40 jet. It gets the job done, but needs to be just a bit bigger to really do what I'm doing with it now. 3 guys, dog or two...
I don't believe it does. I typically do not spay/neuter until after they are at least a year old. At that time their bird dog training should be well under way and by then, and their "drive" should be there already.
