First of all, THANK YOU FOR THE TIME YOU PUT IN! currently there is a decline in bowyers. Everything is assembly line, speed, modern machine, patent, high performance, newest latest greatest...
I am being VERY VERY cautious of that. I could knock out a bow in 4 days but I'm telling people it...
I'm going to try my best to not make this an advertisement so much as a, "market curiosity" thread.
So I've built bows since I was a kid. Laminated longbow and recurves. As I've aged occasionally people asked me to build them one. "Sure thing!" It's evolved into discussions with the wife of...
I realize this thread is older but I wanted to show off my newest build for a customer. He got almost giddy when he found out not only he could pick his woods but "Fancy" woods were on the table.
Switching from compound to trad can be fun. This guy loved shooting this bow. The way he put it is...
Yep that's him. I completely understand the usual "welcome to Hunttalk" responses. I'm usually right there too. With a golden ticket he decided to hop on and do some asking. I get it. It's 4 of the best tags ever and just a few months to prepare. I don't usually share spots either but with...
Can you blame the guy? He's an average Joe who just won the lotto and wanted to pick the best on the internet for info. Had to get his 10 somehow. First seasons open in 2 months.
He's actually going to go after antelope first. The rifle season opens and closes pretty early compared to the others. I'd get it done then there's no hurry to get back to it.
Right... it's like getting a phone call saying, "You've got dates with Salma Hayek, Charleze Theron, Margot Robbie...
My taxidermist said that 4 tag is a curse in disguise. One he'd be happy to have! It's to easy to get yourself to thin trying to Boone and Crockett all the tags. He suggested focus on a good antelope then decide which other 2 you where going to focus on and by chance shoot the last if a good one...
Every had a buddy call and say he hit the lottery but has no clue where to start spending. Just bought a ticket because and won.
Well... if you could hunt anywhere in an open season for Antelope, Deer, Elk, AND MOOSE where would you even start looking? I told him to get in contact with Boone...
Oh yeah pure points is a scheme. Experimenting with numbers if you drop the point tags to a minimal number they make sense. If 5% of tags are point noooobody would care about points. You'd fail the random draw 4X the odds before points mattered. I put in on a 1 in 5 odds elk tag for 16 years...
Right.... I'm at 26 years and only 2 that weren't unlimited draws. BuT rAnDoM iS bEtTeR! I don't agree entirely with preference points but random sucks.
Less than a minute after finding out I didn't draw I dropped over 1000 dollars to wyoming draws. Why? Cause I will draw way more tags in my...
