Would you eat a CWD-positive animal?

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25225155/ This is the only study I could find about following known human consumption. No updates so I am assuming no news is good news.

    What's your side hustle?

Have to renew this one. Have always had my side gig be medically related. My main job is 24hrs on 96hrs (6 days of work a month) off so enjoy lots of free time. Work as needed at another local hospital usually 8hrs a week, teach several classes, and work as a medic for County SWAT team. Just...

Would you eat a CWD-positive animal?

Let's do a hypothetical: And say the money dries up and they stop testing for CWD. Is everyone going to stop eating deer/elk because they might be positive or are you going to just go about life like everyone did before the internet and testing?

Would you eat a CWD-positive animal?

So you are stopping using them because we know if you keep consuming them you are probably going to develope some negative affects?

Would you eat a CWD-positive animal?

WI the tag is good for current year and the next. And you get one for every animal harvested. And the tag is either sex. The other big downside is the testing takes about a week to 2 to get back. So several places that took donated deer for the local food pantries cant because they don't have...

Would you eat a CWD-positive animal?

I agree that the car crashes are apples to oranges comparison. And even the comparison of the risk of eating wings with salmonella is not pertinent because OPs question was about knowingly positive meat. We all wouldn't eat meat knowingly that contained salmonella. However, we do know that...

    Tumbling bullet/sabot

I'm guessing this was more the issue and also my inconsistent results at other powder charges. I read through the manual and saw nothing in regards to a max load. But after reading everyone's opinions I won't be doing 200gr anymore.

    Tumbling bullet/sabot

When i use the side hammer 95 seems to be what makes it happy. That is loose powder and patch and ball. 100 with that 300gr bullet was shooting super inconsistent for me. I wish it would've worked better. I have some 250gr bullets i am going to try and see if they like the 100gr powder.

Study: Hunters Die After Consuming CWD-Infected Venison

I'm in this camp too as well as the ignorance is bliss in regards to testing. If the animal appears health meat looks good it's getting eaten not tested. Unless mandatory obviously

    Tumbling bullet/sabot

Sighting in a Traditions muzzeloader that was my grandfather's he left me when he past away. Shooting a 300gr bullet, messing around today with different powder amounts. I think I found where it gets a little hot. 200gr of pyradex the gun isn't happy.

Study: Hunters Die After Consuming CWD-Infected Venison

Ok, so in WY state average for deer positive was 18.3 or something up from 17.1. So if you get a positive test and another tag that takes 18% of tags out of the equation or would it be untop of the capper NR tags sold? Here in WI if you shoot a deer get it tested and it's positive. You get...
