The experience that had the most impact on how I think about hunting is the Wyoming elk hunt from the On Your Own Adventure days. Getting snowed in and battling those brutal conditions looked awful, but the mentality to stick with it no matter what is huge in hunting and other aspects of life.
Mine fly the same, which is really nice. I had a heck of a time tuning with the Monetc M3 blades. Could not get them to group past 25 yards. The guy at the archery shop said he had heard similar things from a handful of people. Now I use the Striker V2 and they fly great. I am a new bowhunter...
We have a similar model although I believe ours is 19'. It is a big upgrade from our slide in and we paid less for it (both purchased new), which is astonishing. I haven't used it hunting, but it has been great for our family of 4 for summer camping trips. They cram a lot in these things. It can...
I work with Angi pretty regularly and she is top notch. She understands the issues facing Wyoming and has led creative solutions to many issues. When I'm looking for an answer that I can't find anywhere else, Angi usually has it.
They could follow similar seasons that CO does, but just for non-residents. Have a few separate rifle seasons that are much shorter in length than they are currently. WGFD could increase tag sales and limit harvest. No idea how the numbers would shake out though.
I think the real issue with Ozempic is that it doesn't just help you lose fat, but much of what is lost is muscle weight as well. Muscle mass plays a big role in metabolic health and is extremely beneficial to carry into older age. My mother in law is obsessed with weight loss even though she...
I believe that the landowner has to allow hunters on their land to receive crop damage funding. It has to be commensurate with the amount of elk that are causing the damage as well. For example, if they are saying there are 100 head of elk causing damage and they allow one hunter on that isn't...
Kinda surprising that your 1500 is only getting 14mpg (unless of course it has big tires, lift, you drive like a nut, etc). I had a 2009 that averaged about 18 with the 4 speed tranny. I bet the 2500 diesel averages better than 14 and will tow more efficiently.
We are likely more informed, but there is also way more opinions, half-truths, and flat out lies that one needs to sift through to get the actual truth.
Yea Cutthroat Outfitters is a solid outfit. Floating the Colorado can be a zoo, but the fishing can still be really good. I'd plan on a weekday where the weather is iffy if you can. The Gore Range is a really cool place to spend time and there are plenty of lakes that offer fishing. Boulder Lake...
I've deer hunted in 444 a few times. Saw elk each time up in the high country. A lot of that unit will likely be pretty tough to access come 4th season. I'd focus on lower elevation areas adjacent to private lands.
Will she be working? If so, have her pay you some sort of nominal rent, and then invest it for her. When she moves out, give her back whatever she paid you plus anything you made with the investment and explain to her what you did. She can use that money to jump start a career, down payment on a...
