When potential employees make personal decisions that negatively impact their ability to perform in a position they are applying for… well that is timeless.
As someone who hired well over 100 people last year alone, if I have two equally qualified candidates competing for a position, tattoos and piercings don’t come into the equation unless we are talking face tats or piercings and gauges that are over the top. Those will negatively impact an...
Ditto. She reached out to me several times by DM with words of encouragement and kindness. I got the impression that she was quite a woman and quite a character. Would have loved to have met her and soaked up some of the wisdom that I know she had.
Thanks for the input guys. I decided to go with the Pintler bag in part based on this feedback.
I now will have the Metcalf, Beartooth, and Pintler bags for my Guide Light Frame. I should be good to go in the pack department for the foreseeable future.
I am about to either plant or have planted about 3500 bare root hardwood seedlings. Seems like a pretty daunting task with my work schedule to plant them myself so I am thinking seriously about letting a pro do it.
The one that comes to mind for me was on a WT doe at about 5 yards from the ground. I was tucked into some palmetto on my knees. I saw her coming down the trail at about 50 yards, drew when she got to 30 yards and then proceeded to have to stay at full draw for what seemed like 5 minutes when...

Cold front arrives tomorrow. Have a hunt planned in Arkansas...
Longest- 45 yards on a whitetail buck. Was a really perfect scenario to allow for such a long shot. Next longest was 35 yards on a whitetail buck.
Shortest- 18 feet straight down. Doe was standing within a few inches of the tree I was up. She died almost instantly. Made one jump but I won’t do...
I think you are on to something.
Speaking on my area, hunter numbers have been falling steadily as measured by license sales. The number of WMA permits has remained static or even risen slightly. That is a decent measure of public land hunters.
I think this is a function of the price to lease...
After last season, and with all I have going on with work and remodeling my house during this upcoming season, my goal is simply to spend 50 days total over the next 4+ months in the woods decompressing and doing what I love.
It is not going to be easy but I am going to give it hell.
