No upper hand to be head, it all lies in mother natures hands, if the creeks run low and the stock dams are near empty and the first frost is late theres a chance of an outbreak. Theres always a chance but hopefully it doesn't happen, if it does you hope like hell its small and localized. -

Eastern Montana Mule Deer
Welcome too over the counter general tag hunting. It takes time and a lot of patience to scour over maps and learn the country you have picked to hunt. The nice deer aren't around every corner, if they were everyone would be there right. Just have some patience and like you said enjoy the hunt... -

Which Meat Grinder?
Just have to put a warning out Dave N, when using a meat mixer you can over do it, I have seen it more than once when meat mixer guy leaves it go to long and they end up with glorify hotdog product. How much is an elk hunt worth to you ?
Corax, I have thought of that quite a bit but with Montana rifle elk camp departure so close and already averaging 4 to 5 hunts I think I will stick with the 5 to 7 year wait, One of these times my wife will have my gear in the front yard if I add another yearly hunt LOL. Thanks -

Kimber Mountain Ascent???

If pesticides were the cause of mule deer decline I would like those believers explain to me the explosions of canada geese across the country. NRA Convention
Just curious as to how many hunt talkers are going to take in the convention the end of this week in Nashville TN. My only complaint is between all the firearms manufacturers and shooting acc. to look at and some of the excellent seminars 3 days just doesn't do it.- 1976
