Fawns with spots still?
I passed up 2 does in Ohio last week because the fawns were still spotted. They would probably have been fine just decided not to try and take one.- FlatlandHunter

Are Deer Camps Dying?
I would say that deer camps are dying, at least ours is. I have voiced my concern to our camp and believe it’s partly due to not allowing new blood in. I got permission for a coworker to go with me in 2017 because everyone else bailed for out of state hunts or couldn’t be there for whatever...- FlatlandHunter

That’s awesome that you do that. I have been watching a couple youtubers for years and they always catch rides to town. After backpacking parts of the AT, attending Philmont again in 2019 I definitely have the backpacking itch back.- FlatlandHunter

I can retire in less than 3 years and will make up my mind as I get closer if I will. I have always wanted to thru hike the AT and my brother in law wants to do the same when he retires 6 months before me. I think I would prefer the CDT because it’s less travelled so that may change. My before and after this last week in Michigan. My son and I each took a buck and a doe. Freezer was getting a little slim with some elk left and a small amount of whitetail left going into gun season. Still have Ohio left.- FlatlandHunter

Traditional Cap Guns - Let's See 'em!
