I would say that deer camps are dying, at least ours is. I have voiced my concern to our camp and believe it’s partly due to not allowing new blood in. I got permission for a coworker to go with me in 2017 because everyone else bailed for out of state hunts or couldn’t be there for whatever...
That’s awesome that you do that. I have been watching a couple youtubers for years and they always catch rides to town. After backpacking parts of the AT, attending Philmont again in 2019 I definitely have the backpacking itch back.
I can retire in less than 3 years and will make up my mind as I get closer if I will. I have always wanted to thru hike the AT and my brother in law wants to do the same when he retires 6 months before me. I think I would prefer the CDT because it’s less travelled so that may change. I will go...
My before and after this last week in Michigan. My son and I each took a buck and a doe. Freezer was getting a little slim with some elk left and a small amount of whitetail left going into gun season. Still have Ohio left.
50 cal Hawken Cabelas brand with a cow elk I shot a couple years ago. Only animal I have taken with it. Thinking about taking it out this year in Michigan and Ohio.
