I have a 23 caribou locking tag that went unused on diy haul road. Now I have a chip on my shoulder from many days in AK with no big game harvested. I looked at tagging down to a black bear and another of my group had some luck.
My question is has anyone tagged down a caribou tag to spring black...
I saw a few bull tags similar. Unit 7 bull has double the odds for nonresident over residents. Maybe I'll have to spend a few years living across the border to to draw moose haha
Did my app today. Almost bought a bunch of the statewide raffle tickets. Then read "valid only if purchased in Arizona." Turns out buying raffle tickets across state lines is prohibited by federal law. Wonder how many dollars I've wasted on void raffle tickets... When did this become a law?
Those north park wolves, one with a tracker in particular, were already identified by cpw as atleast killing or injuring 13 cattle, 5 dogs, and 3 sheep. A rancher petitioned cpw to kill the one who was to blame for 7 cattle on his farm, Dec 22nd they denied it. The precedent is pretty set in...
Yeah I suspected it was mostly his fault. I'm just saying the bronco sport badlands met and exceeded my needs this fall, and impressed the few people I hunt with. Also I can't see paying 30k plus more for something better, likely marginally better
I'm not going to stand here and say he's a good driver. But it was true. Also the same hunt he broke the rear dif on a wheeler, so that shows how he drives in snow some.
2nd rifle out here I had my bronco sport and the camper. Buddy at gmc Sierra at4, obviously alot heavier. But the ability in 8 inch snow I did great, he got stuck and had to leave at the roadway, I drove him in
It does great, I even tow a Hiker Trailer with it, seems great in wind, very responsive awd system sends power to the right wheel in ice. It's a little small, I can't get a bigger bull than that, and about around 74mph the mpg drops. But I average 24, 19 high speeds and lowest ever was 16 on...
I have one, love it. Gets me around smooth and better than a subaru outback or chevy colorado did. Have the sport badlands 2023. Fit the 6x6 in profile pic into to, barely. And it got me back there. Great ground clearance, headroom inside like a pickup.
6.5k miles so far since September...
Interesting data to see in a sheet. I'm curious how does New Mexico give that many nonresident tags? I thought they guarantee 84% to residents.
If it's 34% I've been messing up their draw by not drawing for many many years.
I was upset about the reintroduction for awhile, still bummed. We lost, it wasn't a fair and square ballot, but we lost it. I could have tried harder, a no vote and $100 to RMEF isn't enough to stop these types of actions, and frankly isn't enough to validate my frustration at the outcome. Now...
Great turnout and crew. I was unaware of the filming plan and tried to hide out pretty well. I was the one with the black lab. Hope to see you all on the next local work day!
I already gambled and failed on all the surrounding states big game apps. Might as well gamble again here for a cow tag.
Despite the odds I know I'll be very disappointed when I don't draw a 4th season cow tag to fill the freezer and have the hunting season end way too early.
