Pack cleaning
My buddy turned me on to going to the self-serve car washes and clipping the pack to the floormat rack, then you can power-wash it with a soap solution and then power-wash with plain water to rinse it all out. Sure it's a couple bucks, but it saves the bathtub from looking like a horror movie...- YoungGun

Maybe it's a recency bias on my end as far as permits issued goes, although some data shows otherwise. But there is certainly more hunters, who are more effective, in these units year after year. I believe so- I just think in the last decade or so there's a lot less casual hunters that pick up the tag "just in case", and a lot more dedicated folks out there. There was no 7 year wait then, and the Spanish Peaks were unlimited. I think it is more appropriate to look at the last 20 years- the numbers have sky rocketed, and the actual participation versus just having a tag in the pocket has gone much higher.- YoungGun

Henry 45-70
They all looked like light primer strikes- but the other types of ammo didn't have the same issue, and the 13 that went on the first shot of the FTXs were solid strikes, so I'm thinking maybe the primers on these three were inset just a little much? Accuracy was great. I'm disappointed, as I... -
7mm recoil help
I replaced the stock Tikka recoil pad on my 7mm Mag and went with a Limbsaver. I'd say the 60% reduction of felt recoil is closer than not. It went from mildly uncomfortable to shoot (160-168gr bullets), to much closer to a .308 with similar weight bullets. -
Henry 45-70
Not sure if I had a bad box, but shooting Hornady 325g FTX Leverevolution out of my brass Henry 45-70 on monday, I had 3 rounds fail to fire out of 16 attempts.
