I just go with what I know and feel comfortable with........a gun. I have lived years (on deployments) with one on my hip and one in my hand. I react with it instinctually and know how they act. So for me, I just feel more comfortable with a large caliber pistol on my hip.......but that's just me.
That looks like a pretty cool hammock shelter in their video. I have used a hammock on an Elk hunt and liked it. They do sleep cooler than sleeping on the ground though for sure.
Ask 10 Hunt Talkers a question and you will get 11 answers every time. I like #1 the most. I personally like the simplistic and symmetrical look of it. I agree with some of the comments that the colors aren't my favorite. What I would do is get a sticker and some gear of whatever one you go with.
Just saw this BLAMM. Yes it defenitely is a young mans game. I felt every day of my 45 years. I don't know how we could have hauled all our brass. I even blew up quite a bit of ammo up. We are better supplied than back in the day. If you served........thank you!
