I think there is way more to this story. Why wasn't it left for FWP to investigat,why didn't the trapper report it. There are a lot of unanswered questions. Not a comment in the Ravalley Republic and 62 comments in the liberal California,Missoulinan oh their not biased.- RobertR

Hunting dog names
I've had a lot of dogs, toby,lady,buffy,sam,snuffy,digger,nibz,goose,tank,blonde,babs and smokey. It all comes down to personal preference and a dogs demeanor and or color attitude etc..- RobertR

Wolf Management in Montana working!
Northwest Montana has two things that contribute to the wolf population. Less open areas and those ileagal imagrintrant Canadian Wolves crossing the border. 15 thousand turn out for rally
It's not that most hunters wouldn't show up, it's that the majority have job commitments and getting time off for some don't pay the bills. I would love to make all these sportsmans rally's but they never jive with my work schedule and getting time off.- RobertR

Gardiner Bighorn Sheep die off, possible closure HD 305
This happened to the big horns just out of Melrose. I'm not sticking up for domestics sheep owners but the problem is mostly agriculture fields that draw game animals to good feed and easy water. Bison Hunt in Montana what do you guys think?
This is the biggest slap in the face by FWP and the DOL. There are hunters who would give their left one for a tag and they just give them away to the tribes. It's time to get the DOL out of the business of controlling how wildlife is managed. FWP seems to have no say.- RobertR

Rally for Public Lands - Montana
Wish I had the day off for the rally. I may be wrong but I think part of this whole debacle is the push by some radicals to ban public land grazing. If the cattle people were to co-op they could buy large tracks of public land. This may be a stretch, but think about it if public land grazing... -
Game Damage Hunt
I guess I was lucky. FWP called and I called the land owner and he let me know when the elk were there. He called and my son and I went up one evening and it was over. Pretty good deal because the land owner drug the elk down to the truck for us and helped load it. -
