It didn't seem to like the weird DRT ammo Bergara proofs with, but shot good with Hornady 180gr SST and Barnes VOR-TX 180gr. Only two decent cartridges I fed it before shutting down my experiment and rebarrelling it as a 7PRC.
I'd buy everything in ABQ - slim pickings for outdoor gear down south. REI, Cabelas, Sportsmans, etc. here.
Also, if you have any car rental status (via credit card or whatever) with National, they often have 4x4 SUVs/Trucks in the Emerald aisles for the same price as the standard mid-size...
I quit throwing good money after bad and sent it down the road once I confirmed the gunsmith fixed the issue with a reamer.
I'm building off Tikka actions now. So much nicer and I love that the bolt locks with the safety.
Doesn't look like he's using a lead sled though - just a bench rest. I agree about weighted sleds, but this one looks like it would allow free recoil...

Just say no to Bergarbage. Many reviewers that pay for these rifles out of pocket get lemons like me. Bergara sends out cherry picked rifles to influencers to push the illusion of quality.
I have the emails. They said they worked on the rifle and it shot one 3 round sub moa group. They shipped it back and refused to look at it again. That's it. They blamed me for not being able to shoot. I proved them wrong.
Rifle went from 5+ MOA to 2+ MOA.
Nope - gunsmith found a burr and ran a reamer through it gently. After that it started shooting, but I was done with it. Sent it down the road. I've since bought three Tikkas personally and am loving the lack of drama and more refined action. My guess is that I've convinced about a dozen people...
So far rock solid for muzzle velocity out on the range. Only are where LabRadar shines is inside shooting through a tunnel.

Ha ha. No they're the size of regular goats. Billy's can be a bit gamey, but made burger out of a nanny mixed with beef fat and you couldn't tell it wasn't regular burger. Delicious.
I would have zero issues running a Vortex or Leupy or hell any one of those Chinese knockoffs on a benchrest rifle. Sure they dial mostly OK when they go from the safe to a padded case to a bench and back. For hunting, I want something that survives bombing around in a SXS, getting dropped in a...
