ford diesels you have to take the whole body off to do a lot of the work should it need it. I drive a 150 and 250 for work. I can't stand sitting in the new 150. seats are very uncomfortable for me. I love the seats in the 250 but the ride is rougher of course combined with the horrible gas...
Headed out in the early AM to hopefully bag a few Sandhill Cranes. Going to be a first for us as we have not tried our hands at these birds but it is sure to be an adventure.
We started out with the kitchen aid. It works great if you do 1 deer or antelope a year. Last year we switched to this LEM http://www.lemproducts.com/product/lem-12-electric-grinder/butcher-meat-grinders
This grinder eats through everything. If you don't trim well with the kitchen aid it clogs...
Since we started cutting our own meat we have not tasted a bad piece of meat. My tip is to age it yourself if weather cooperates and cut/wrap and grind it yourself (we don't add any fat at all). I would not have believed the difference before we started doing everything our self. We love...
That is awesome you took an employee out with you. When I worked for fish and game during the salmon seasons i always found it encouraging when I was invited to go fishing with a group or invited for fresh salmon and morel dinner. Great fish.
A buddy and I are looking at purchasing left over buck tags for unit 109. We know there is limited public land. We have hunted other limited public land units in Wyoming. We have called some landowners on WGFD land owner list and have a spot or two to hunt possibly. The thing I am worried about...
I have decided on hunting the Salmon Zone in Idaho for elk. Based on my research I am specifically looking at 21a. Anyone experienced here that could lend a few tips or the other units which encompass the salmon zone. Tired of hunting around Idaho Falls and looking for a "fresh" zone to...
Tougher hunting them there now. Saw a good bull swim across Henry's Lake last fall. Just saw a cow standing in the buffalo river last Friday. Moose are still around just look for the traffic jams.
Spent a lot of last summer and fall in there camping, 4 wheeling, hiking around, hunting for moose and elk. Never saw anything except for Moose and 3 elk. Pretty steep country. Saw quite a few people with horses buy they may have been working their way into Wyoming.
Good luck.
