Got out Friday and Saturday afternoons for some still hunting. I'm not very good at it yet but had multiple encounters yesterday working slowly through the woods that I couldn't capitalize on. Respectfully, horseshit. I know plenty of outfitters who are fantastic conservationists & stewards of the land as well as making money off of taking people hunting. I know outfitters who only think of their chances to kill things as well. There are bad apples everywhere, diy hunting included... -
Anyone give up hunting other species after getting your dog?
Good hunting! She chewed through some stiches yesterday morning while I was distracted, so back to the vet. 3 more months of PT following the surgeries. We're actively plotting a sabbatical for next year. :)- Ben Lamb

This is a really critical point. Both the current season structure and the proposed structure from the group allow for micro-management on the unit scale. The biggest issue becomes that the public has grown accustomed to a binary choice: Either you get the general season, or you get the limited... -

Second TPLO performed today. The dog is unhappy with life and me in particular. She's drugged well but the incision is bleeding pretty good still. Feds maintain primacy on rights they currently own, hard rock or oil/gas. The state programs are in place until they are weaker than the federal ones, then the federal ones kick in.
