Start with a good fitting boot. Get a good pair of insoles. Stretch and warm up. Watch your stride, keep them short and take your time. Use Aleve or another NSAID if you have any issues. Rest your legs when possible.

I am headed out there in October for 2nd rifle. We are hunting 231 also. I have not been there, but my friend has had good luck hunting there. We are hunting on the west side of the flat tops and walking in about 3 1/2 miles from the trail head. Just from what I have seen on google earth and onx...
My best friend uses a 84M in 280 AI and loves it. Shoot what ever you shoot well. 7mm-08, 308, 280 or even the bog boys like 7mm mag or 300WM whatever. They will all do the job with good ammo and a well placed shot.

To be safe I'd take it to a gunsmith and have them look it over to make sure that there is no damage to the chamber or the beginning of the rifling.

I was wondering. How many of you use shooting sticks, tripod or another type of shooting rest/aid. I see many hunters using tripods for their binos and spotting scopes. I also see hunters with shooting sticks or tripods like bogpods for helping to steady their shot. I ask this because Academy...

I am looking for a auxiliary battery bank for charging my iphone and laptop while boondocking. I have a small one that i use for my phone when I deer hunt and it works well. I just need something bigger to charge multiple items if necessary.

My wife have family is Westcliffe. Their place backs right up to the mountains there and it is stunningly beautiful. I'd love to hunt out there sometime, her uncle is a rancher out there and he is also a guide. His house looks like a taxidermy shop!

No joy this time around for deer. Still have a glint of hope with the leftover draw, but I'm not holding my breath. I'll still get an OTC bull tag and spend a week chasing bulls come second season!

I am looking into this myself. Nothing like a camp that is dry warm and out of the wind. I am going to pick one up this summer and get it ready for my October elk hunt. Looking at a 6x12. I don't need anything much bigger for myself and all of my gear.

This is my first year in the draw for deer in Colorado. I'm pretty sure that I'm not going to get a tag being my first time and all. I keep reading that there are going to be less tags this year and I hope that the conservation efforts can keep us hunters with a plentiful stock of tags and a...

This is a friend of mine from back home. This beast weighed in at 6.2 lbs. His dad caught a 9.4 lb rainbow the week prior that made this one look small!
