I also put a neoprene cover on my a6400. The nice thing is the peak uses an acra swiss mount so it fits my tripods.

EMT pipe from your local Home Depot and just buy some angles from a place like the wall tent shop. This would give you an inernal frame which is nicer IMO.
Alternative is making a center pipe and supports or cut timbers.
I suppose I should give an update on my hunt. My wife and coworker joined me on the trip as packer/spotters. Our hunt out there was only 3.5 days just after Thanksgiving due to commitments. There wasn't much snow so the deer were still way up on top. We spent a lot of time behind the 15x...
The scope is like new. The sunshade has never been installed and I'm not sure I have ever turned the windage dial. It comes with Vortex Defender flip up covers and Vortex 34mm rings.
If you are ordering a mcmillan or manners count on 6 months to get the stock. Although right hands may be more available. I have a manners eh2, and mcmillan gamewarden and game scout if you are ever up this way and want put your hands on them before you order.
I have a Sony 5100 and I want to upgrade but still use my current lenses. Has anyone used the new Sony a6400? Does the new tech in the camera make it a better choice than the 6500? I know the 6500 has IBIS but most of my lenses already have OOS. I use the camera for 50/50 filming and photos.
I hope they take care of you. I purchased a new Savage 270WSM and when I sighted it in it shot sideways bullets at 20 yards. Took it back to the dealer put a bore gauge on it and apparently Savage had built the gun with a .30 cal barrel on it. It was stamped 270WSM. Savage gave my dealer the...
I really like the vert grips for hunting. I have mcmillan game warden, game scout and a manners eh2. I feel no deficit in offhand shooting and obviously they are great for shooting prone and off a bipod. It is personal preference but I would not go back.
I have the talleys on my 7o8. I really like them and have not experienced any problems. I have the warne mt tech on my two long action rifles. The warnes are awsome and the rail gives you more adjustablity with the eye relief on the LA. The cost more but worth it in my opinion.
I picked that same one last fall. I liked it. I ran a buddy heater when needed. A cot with a foam pad on top is what you want. I have rubbermaid tubs that are short enough to slide under the cot. Keeps your stuff organized and opens up the floor space. I'm planning on putting in a stove...
We saw a few elk in there hunting deer in early Nov. Didn't see any nice bulls but found this set of sheds. I would not apply for deer in that area again unless it was the Jan bow hunt.
