My point exactly. You have absolute control over who you engage with and on what topics. If you want to hear his opinion you have the option of engaging. If you don't, you engage with others or you ignore him. But you don't stop going to the watering hole because you know there are others there...- thatsjet

Great discussion folks, thank you. All of these "tools" contribute to our success. I think knowledge and experience are also tools, ones that I haven't built up in great supply yet. OnX, trail cams and night vision for scouting seem reasonable at my stage given I don't even know where to start...- thatsjet

Ditto this. The brisket I did recently apparently killed my Traeger temp controller and fan. It was reading 250 when my wireless thermometer was reading 210. I ended up having to move it into the oven for the last 3 hours during the crutch and come to find out my oven isn't any better! I had to...- thatsjet
