    To illuminate or not

I have the Leupold VX-6hd; illuminated TMOA. I mostly use the illumination for range practice. The leveling feature is great to train with to make sure when I bring up the scope to my eye, I am not canting the rifle left/right. Muscle memory, cheek weld, and sight picture then gets ingrained...

    Hot Tent?

Best of luck to you. I have been running a tipi hot tent for 6 yrs now (I am currently 59) for my solo hunts here in CO. 3-person tent that is really a one-person tent with a stove. Nice to have room to store all of my gear inside. With single digits outside, the tent will warm to 75 inside...

    Trump is shot!

Inner cities that have been controlled by democrats for decades: Portland - last Republican Mayor was in 1979; Chicago - last Republican Mayor was in 1937, Los Angeles - last Republican Mayor was in 2001. Real shining examples of how to improve the economic status of one's citizens. If they...

I run a silk liner in my 10-deg WM Versalite. I would say it adds another 5-7 deg of warmth rating.

    139gr CX loads for 7mm-08?

I suspect you will get a pretty good load developed with a little bit of work. I have a 7mm RM load developed for the CX-150 with H4831SC. Getting 3160 fps (avg) and 0.51 MOA (max) over a 40-round load confirmation cycle. Std deviation is just under 8.5 fps. That was good enough for my needs.

    Fixing social security

I don't disagree with anything you have written. The TBTF industries should be treated like any other business/industry. If they make bad decisions, take bad risks, etc. and failure/bankruptcy is the result, then so be it. On the discussion between taxing capital or labor, I don't think you...

"... or perhaps the premiums are much higher than a few tens of cents a day you claim." - There fixed that for you. If you are going to quote me, at least get it right. Ok. So? How does that change the position that you should plan for your family's future, particularly if you are at higher...

    Fixing social security

Thanks. Nope, life is going to throw curve balls at you. It's not about being fair or unfair. It just "is". But take the widow example. It takes literally a few 10's of cents a day to put life insurance in place to cover the loss of a partner's income so that the widow doesn't have to work...
