Building a new riser for a bow I made for my dad. The previous ones draw weight was a little to heavy. Also been building a couple cabinets for my shop. But they’re just boxes at this point.
I’m gonna bump this thread up. With damn near a year between posts there should be some things to add.
Yesterday I was putting some finishing touches on some shop cabinets I’m building. Putting some solid mitered edging around a table top. I was having a hard time keeping last miter together...
Those crappy foam knee and elbow pads they used to give with acu’s are perfect for that. Cut them an inch wide and add one at a time with 100mph tape until perfect height. Works like a charm.
Also I should add the first year my wife went hunting, I got WAY to excited and went a little overboard...
That looks awesome! I got a wild hair up my ass one day and went out and hand hewed a log. I didn’t have a broad axe, just a regular axe. My knuckles and patience wished I had one. I did it in pine, I couldn’t imagine it with hickory. Again it looks really good.
You’re not the forum member that needs to ask for advice then.
If you’re worried about it this much, you’ll be fine, just talk to her.
Ive been married for 10 years and my wife told me this morning to apply for the special draw in Wyoming. She had several good reasons but the one that stuck...
Myself and a couple other guys went up to Alaska to train guys at Richardson. It was in the summer, the mosquitos were no joke. We were also at a bar on the 4th of July in downtown anchorage and saw a guy get shot in a drive by. It was nuts, I never thought in all my travels Alaska would be the...
I don’t have enough knowledge of the deer in the unit to give a valid opinion. It’s cool, rough country, and I think there’s enough nooks and crannies for deer to hide in to make it a fun hunt though.
Not a lot more to add to wllm1313’s post as far as deer go. But 54 is limited for archery elk, assuming you’re both non-res it was 61% to draw that tag last year with no points. Another pic from 54, he’s not exaggerating, that shit is steep and the pictures really don’t do it justice.
Hand auger is all I have. One time, one of the screws that hold the blades on sheared off and I was only cutting with one blade. By the time I got the hole drilled I was so boiling pissed I could’ve melted a hole faster.
You could just build a range card for the m1 turrets. That way if you ever swap the scope to a different rifle or change anything with the current set up, you wouldn’t have custom dials for a specific load collecting dust.
You ever go to the Edelweiss restaurant in the springs? That place is really good, my wife loves the potato salad. I didn’t travel much when I was in Germany but..man the food was good!
You, my dad and I have 11 as well, now to just find out the other 1916, and the 4414 in front of us and tell them where not to go. I hope Wyoming takes more of my money than usual this year!
