    I wish Leupold would go back to offering the VX3 family with capped turrets. I love the older 2.5-8x36 and 3.5-10x40 for simple hunting scopes.

    I’d hand load some 160 Accubonds in that 7 mag. There’s no doubt they kill, but the ELD-X are a little explosive for my tastes.

    I haven’t tried the casts yet, although I plan to. My rifle likes the 350 gr Hornady flat point with IMR4895, right at 1900 fps. Should be a great elk load and has very manageable recoil.
