We ventured up near Canadian border over the weekend to chase sturgeon. This fishery has been closed for 35 years and opened on August 1. It did not disappoint! We landed 17 fish and missed a ton. A few pics
haha! yeah...I didn't have super good luck in the overall scheme of things tho.. My wife and I applied in 6 states for deer, elk, sheep and bison in some and we drew 0 tags
Rockies.. no horses for me. I can’t get horses into most of the areas I’ll be hunting as it’s too steep. We purchased baby pack goats this year for hunts like this , but have 3 more years before we can use them.
what CVA model do you have onx? I just switched my optima over to the 209 and 209 firing pin kit. I have yet to test it with Blackhorn. I shot Blackhorn out of my T/C blackdiamon with 0 issues
I was fortunate to draw this tag twice in 4 years last time I drew it was for archery. This year its muzzy Oct 1-12 and cannot wait! from what I saw when I had the archery tag I coulda shot 9 bulls over 340" with a muzzy. My archery hunt 4 years ago was nothing short of amazing. I estimated...
good luck and have fun! I drew WA in 2009... Ive been fortunate to tag along on 4 moose hunts in WA and ID. One thing I have learned don't be afraid to road hunt its probably the most effective way to hunt moose. cover ground and glass and repeat.

Every year we head down and fish the upper Columbia for summer run and some sockeye if open. We hooked 22 fish in 3 hours on the opener and they decided to open the dam and ruined fishing rest of the day.. next am we lost 2.
boils down to how good of a tag is it and will you ever draw it again and also what else do you have lined up that year. I had a total of 34 days off of a 60 day moose season in WA when I drew a bull tag.. I shot my moose the 2nd day it was too good to pass up. I drew UT book cliffs muzzy deer...
