About four years ago (when I realized I was about $60k short) of being one of the "real" big game hunters, I confessed (mostly to myself and God) that I'll never be one of the "cool guys" and will just have to self-guide on general tags. Any others?
Wytex might not be a "He".....
Just got a TON of water dropped on us. I speculate a lot more(water) than average. Can only bode well for forage, fawn mortality, antler growth, etc. ...
Some of you holding tags might take interest...

There might be some added in the coming months.
I'm actually headed up that way for work this week and will be staying there a couple of nights. Let me know if you have any requests. As per PA Goat's suggestion; I'm going to try the Winchester since I have yet to do so.
Anybody heard anything on changes with population or habitat? I can't help but notice that around this time last year things didn't look this green and that there were deer in places where they're almost non-existant now. I would THINK that this is a positive indicator, but who knows...
Try this place:

Might sound trivial to some, but it's nice to pull up to the door of your room. No lobbies, elevators, BS.... Nice if you're unloading guns, coolers, packs, etc.
Plus, the rooms are really good for the rate and the owner's a really nice guy.
No. But, then again, I really wasn't in expectation of anything. They were just what one of my local shops had on the shelf and I had never heard of them before. Yes, I guess that I'm that "out of it".
However, I will say that your post sold me on a new dozen in 400 spine. Going to match with...
I'm in a similar situation, as I'm in the market for a dozen or two. The catch is that I'm not very advanced, so looking for something on the more inexpensive end that will still perform ok.
Probably can find a spot most of the time. Remember, the Bighorns are really, big. LOTS of land and water to offer. But, yes definitely put a hike on the list to some back country lakes.
Personally, I'd go sooner than later with traffic from tourism being down right now. It's a long shot, but you might have a little more room. Downside is that some of the water is still fast/dirty.
Wow. I had to Google a lot of this thread. Thanks for the education. I guess that I really am old, out of it, whatever, etc. ....
i.e. add myself to the list
