    I just picked up a couple of canister of the mix at walmart in the corpus area, also academy had some in stock. Seemed to be plenty around with the Coleman brand. I would check out the walmarts in your area.

    Beta

    I have been lucky so far, Hanna hit south of me and I recieved little rain while Beta turned north and missed me again. I was out mowing today like nothing happened. The storm surge did jack up the beaches. Gonna be interesting when they open them back up.

    Nice haul, too bad about the shark rod, those can be a rodeo. I was down on PINS these past two days and had some luck. A couple slot reds and blacktips along with plenty of whiting. The tides been real high with Sally and now this new storm in the gulf, probably wont be headed out for a while.

    What Tripod do you use

    I use a promaster carbon fiber model that has been discontinued and a Slik 634 CF as well. The slik is 250 but you can find them on sale occasionally.

    Creedmoor question (probably again)

    I have used the 143 eldx on deer and they work great but I feel like there are better choices. I would steer him towards bonded or mono bullets. Such as Barnes 127 LRX, Federal 130 TSX or the original 140 Accubonds from Federal. All around 40 bucks a box on midway.

    Yes you could fly but that isn't cost effective when you are subsistence hunting for moose. This hunt isn't for non residents going on their dream hunt. It's for meat. Plus most hunters are towing boats up to hunt the rivers. They are pretty much SOL unless the governments come to an agreement...
