Spend the money and order heavy duty chains. They saved my ass on the breaks the first year i was there. Cable chains or small chains no bueno. On a 4x4 1500, how is it that chains dont fit up front?

Holy smokes. Not alot of wood to be had. Anyone ever bring coal in with them? I cant even bring in wood as i am crossing state lines. How much downed wood along the river is there to use if i came in on my sled? prefer not to do wall tent and propane.

You should really look at talking to the regional FWP biologist. Region 7 is in miles city but Broadus has a local guy. I called him and he was happy to answer questions. I head there next week to scout. He told me to call him with any questions
