But in Montana it can also be used for other purposes that I think can block access. Should I assume no buildings means it’s open? Thanks! -

I’m specifically curious how to find out in MT, but there are some state land chunks (via OnX maps) that seem like they could be decent deer hunting. I don’t see any formal trails or parking area, so I’m not sure how to tell if it is open for hunting or leased out/closed off. Is there any trick... -

Bear spray guys
One of the bear spray companies makes a plastic tube with a yellow lid and a foam wrap. You wrap the foam around the can then put it upside down in the can. I just heard about a FWP proposal for a weapons restricted area in 130 Swan Lake area. I couldn’t find much about it such as where the are proposed is, what’s driving it, impacts, etc. Anyone have any insight? Just trying to get educated -

I found it from a shoulder season posting on the FWP site but the general refs list bucks open to Dec 15 and browtined or antlerless open to Jan 01. Archery only on both. Unless I’m completely misreading them... I don’t know the terrain either way or if the WMA or block management areas are... -

Tactics for elk hunting after the snow falls
These PMs are killing me. I’m trying to learn too! I’m not sure where the OP is but here in Northwestern Montana there are super thick woods, so I’ve always struggled finding good places where I can glass. Heading out this weekend to try again so great timing!
