6a has a lot of elk but not normally big elk. Call gf and ask them questions. As for the dog if you have a camp trailer they will be fine. I've left my dog in her kennel during a late hunt before while I was out deer hunting. Every dog is different. Also many places to board a dog for a week
Remember in Arizona, if private land is not posted you can hunt it. Some will say you should contact the land owner first but you will find that its not the same in az as it is in say Wyoming. If there is not a house on it good luck finding the person. It's not ranches like you think. And I...
The special draw doesn't always give you better odds. As for a trespass fee that's up to you. I will not pay a trespass fee, I will wait to draw a unit that has good enough public access or go into a hunt with little public knowing I may struggle.
As big jay somewhat touched on is don’t worry about a percentage. Worry about how much ground that is. 20% in one unit might be 10000 acres where another unit it may be 1500 acres. Look for legal access and how much land that gets you and if it’s antelope country. Most of those hunts are...
I think all this gets confused when people state draw date. No one knows when they will actually run the draw. The only date that matters is the application deadline.
Correct me if I'm wrong as I probably am but they narrow it down to exact numbers. What I mean is they dont round up or down. .666 will get a tag before .5 etc.
Whys that? so people don't abuse the system? maybe AZ should fix it. Minnesota has been using a persons drivers license at off site vendors for over 25 years. Why can't AZ?
and we found the loop hole. GF doesn't get vendor licenses for months, sometimes years. Which means a person could technically apply without a valid license.
