    6a has a lot of elk but not normally big elk. Call gf and ask them questions. As for the dog if you have a camp trailer they will be fine. I've left my dog in her kennel during a late hunt before while I was out deer hunting. Every dog is different. Also many places to board a dog for a week

    The special draw doesn't always give you better odds. As for a trespass fee that's up to you. I will not pay a trespass fee, I will wait to draw a unit that has good enough public access or go into a hunt with little public knowing I may struggle.

    I think all this gets confused when people state draw date. No one knows when they will actually run the draw. The only date that matters is the application deadline.

    and we found the loop hole. GF doesn't get vendor licenses for months, sometimes years. Which means a person could technically apply without a valid license.
