One of the arguments against is people are in the woods all day checking cameras. There will be more people and for longer in the woods without cameras. There is no winning here and we haven't even brought up that its almost impossible to enforce.
Preserving the legacy of hunting? Its always changing! We no longer market hunt, changing. Until you show me stats that show a trail camera increases your harvest percent or actually keeps wildlife off water then I don't think it should change.
I don't know a single person that is in favor of this. I see and hear way more that people want to keep them than I do get rid of them
The problem is gf can only regulate take so if someone doesn't have a tag or doesn't hunt they can still run cameras. So the "friend" will run cameras for...
With point creep you never really know whats gonna happen in the draw. Make the best guess at it that you can and hope for the best. If you have specific questions or areas PM me and I can look into what your'e thinking
If you can't get in just email [email protected] Tell them your issue and they should help. I did it for my wife and had an email in a couple hours with the fix to get in. Much better than sitting on hold for even 10 min.
Get gohunt or something like that. You spent a lot of money on points, dont go cheap in your research.
Do elk and deer in different years. Your deer hunt probably should not be in the same unit as your elk just because it's hard to find a unit that is a trophy unit for both species. A...
Correct you never did but limited quota area means its not OTC and if your saying you don't want non residents in a limited quota area (thread title) means it has to be a draw and then becomes a 100% resident draw
If people apply all over the state it is easier to draw tags. You have more game than we do in AZ and people wait longer but are willing to go anywhere in the state to hunt.
14 days is not that many if you really think how long the season is.
As pointed out by others ND is much more stingy...
What is BS about what I wrote? And I forgot to mention that nonresident landowners can take all the tags before the tags make it to a draw, so most units don’t even have a nonresident tag available in the draw.
4 month archery and 47 dollar fishing doesn’t over ride all the negatives.
14 day limit on waterfowl. Multiple licenses for upland birds over 14 days. 1% of rifle tags to nonresident. 10% of mule deer tags for archery deer. No big 3. Yes the price may be with in reason but the availability to hunt is horrible.
