If you are not picky on units, 4 tags in 11 years is doable. I know of a late bull hunt that takes 5 points. With hunter Ed and loyalty that’s only 3 years without getting lucky.
I don’t like D. I hate to have a hunt end that soon. And I’m assuming after the shooting starts most antelope will be on private which then makes it a really hard hunt. FYI. I have 6 points going into next year. The unit i had picked out with 5 points when from 2 to 6 points required in 2021.
The way I read it is from august 15 to oct 14 it is valid only on private land in platte county. The other dates is public or private in the entire unit.
Please advise us what it is after talking to GF. Thanks.
So I must be doing something wrong. What are you guys clicking like a madman? I get to the point where you enter the hunt codes and then told they are not available. How are you clicking when hunt codes need to be entered?
I saw the list updated at 803. The tags that I wanted off the preview list were there but were not available when I tried to add them to my cart.
I don’t understand who is actually getting these tags. All three weeks have made no sense to me.
Don’t call as much as you think you should. There are roads every where and you’ll have recreational callers which make the elk call shy. Best rut is usually around the 20th. Give or take a few days. Have fun
Everyone sees a tag on there they would like. But good luck getting it. Ive never had to try and get a leftover in this manner so it will be a learning experience
Had 3rd season last year. Lots and lots of people from Utah deer hunting in 36. Most of the people in 35 were elk hunting. Had some weather which helped move them to lower elevations. Be ready to use chains to get anywhere if there is moisture. I didn’t see any hunters in 45 the day I...
Previous posts hit almost everything on the head but water in 32 is limited compared to other units. Something to think about if you are going to hike into the wilderness.
As the weather is cooler it is a good hunt but it is not a rut hunt. So don't expect it to be. Thebetter coues hunters go in Oct as the whitetails have a small home range and once you find them during summer scouting they don't go far. Plus oct hunts are easier to draw for the most part
You're right but gf still can't take any camera. Hell the commission said if you don't have a tag for the current year you can still run cameras. It's not going to work, if it's not going to work why have the law
The issue is AZ game and fish can only regulate “take”. They can not prevent a “wildlife viewer” from using a trail camera. So how is a game warden suppose to know if it’s a hunter trying to locate game or just a member of the public who doesnt hunt but likes pictures and video of wildlife...
Your preference doesn't matter! What matters is the hunt guidelines that the gf has to go by. And in those guidelines they cant do a draw in January. The guidelines are about up so you could give your preference on what you would like to see for 2024 through 2029
In Arizona you can hunt private without permission as long as its not posted. With AZ's new 1/4 mile rule even with archery you will find yourself with in a 1/4 mile of a house before you're on posted private. Areas would be Pintail, Silver creek golf course, Silver Lake Estates, and Ortega...
