Almost forgot I started this thread. I've had the Lupo out to the range 3 times now. This rifle is nothing short of excellent. The comfort of shooting this 300wm is second to none. That could be a combination of the way the butt stock is built and the APA LB brake I have on it. The brake is LOUD...
Just picked one up in 300 win mag.
It is definitely ugly, but:
The quality is OUTSTANDING, it feels like what I paid for it
I love where the safety is located
The action of the bolt is like buttery glass
The buttstock adjustability is almost endless and Benelli provides everything you need...
I don't have any interest in trying anything different than the TBT. They have been the best bullet I ever used on game. I think they're just as good and maybe even better than Partitions or Accubonds, which have been the gold standard in hunting bullets for years. I would put the TBT up against...
For 300wm. 165 or 180?
A mostly copper bullet with a lead center towards the tip. Should I drop a weight class for these? They show great BC numbers according to Federal's website.
They are awesome bullets as I have used them in smaller, non magnum calibers.
They just flat out perform.
I'm torn on which ones to buy for my new 300wm. Definitely want to buy some Federal TBTs. It's a mostly copper bullet with a lead center towards the tip. I use them in other smaller calibers and they are FANTASTIC hunting bullets.
165 or 180?
I would suggest to look at its features and read some reviews. It is loaded with customizable options for the shooter. Not something you would find in a rifle half the price.
Also sub moa guarantee
Does anyone here have one? If so, how do you like it so far?
It's hard to find feedback on these probably because of being so new and quite a high price tag. I've watched a few videos on it and there is absolutely no other rifle that has the adaptable features and customized fit to the shooter...
The extended 5-round magazines can be bought separately, which I did. I like the idea of not having to reload a 3 round magazine constantly when target shooting. I also have the factory 3 round mag that came with the rifle which I probably won't ever use.
So far I am NOT a fan of the 3 position safety. When the safety is on, it could easily be bumped to the fire position. I guess the location of it is what I hate about it.
Tikka T3X Lite .270Win with VX5HD glass
Not stainless because I like to take care of my guns
Not 6.5 creedmore because the .270 koolaid has been delicious for many years
Whenever it stops raining next week I'll shoot her in
