Wondering if some people can give me a general idea of how to hunt and glass burn spots. The unit I am hunting has had numerous burns through out the last 5 years. My question is how much time do spend glassing a burn prior to moving on to the next burn area?
Getting ready to start reloading for a 7mm-08 I have the following powders. Going to be running 140 gr nosler ACcubonds. What powder should I start with.
Vagrant
Big Game

The elk are there in December and the state plants certain areas to help elk winter over public land… my brother was on elk every day, and would of had his cow had he not grabbed his sizing loaded and the bullet got stuck in his barrel. Hiked back 3 miles to find he had left his ammo back home...
Wanted to get peoples thoughts on going on a late season cow elk hunt DYI or wait a year and go for a better unit? Should note I drew one of the tags I had hoped for just want to chase elk while I can
