    Bourbon Connoisseurs

I'm a wheated fan so Larceny is always in the house. Jefferson very small batch was also good. Bulleit is the other that is always on hand.

    Male vs female dogs

I think it can depend on the breed too. When we first met with our breeder, we were set on a female. He said the males tended to adapt to life changes (children, moving, etc) better as they got older. We have a WPG.

    Wirehaired Pointing Griffon training

Clicker training worked really well for us for basic obedience work.

What makes one a "good shot?"

It has been touched on a few times here but to me a good shot is also knowing WHEN or when NOT to shoot, assuming we are talking about hunting scenarios. This would apply to big game and birds.

    Theron out...who is next?

With Theron being out of business, which binoculars are going to take the new favorite spot in this price point? The Questas got such high praise on this forum, I'm kicking myself for not upgrading when I had the chance.

Your top 3 picks for a concealed carry?

Comfort and printing. Round count (and everything I suppose) is personal preference. As a bigger guy, having a thinner profile would be more comfortable, therefor more likely to consistently carry it.

Your top 3 picks for a concealed carry?

Any slim single stack in 9mm. My personal preference would be G43 or G43x depending on how you like the grip size. Springfield XDS also felt nice to me.

    How tight a group?

I agree. I used to get bent out of shape about my groupings and head up deer hunting thinking I was going to miss if my rifle wasn't "dialed" perfectly. In reality, a 1 1/2" group at 100 yards is very adequate when the longest shot available to me is 125 yards. That being said, I do spent much...

How to hunt if you can't stomach gutting

OP seems like maybe a younger guy or even a kid? I know as an adult onset hunter, it took me a little while to get over the blood that comes with cleaning game. Started with fish then went to birds then to deer. Might be an option for you? I also had someone mentor me on HOW to clean the deer...

I've been living under a rock, caliber/rifle inquiry

I've been very happy with my Tikka 30-06. I have the old version T3 in synthetic/stainless. I've handled the new T3x stock and like it too.

    Chest Waders for Waterfowl

I've used Tidwe neoprene for the last few seasons. No leaks yet. I hunt cattail sloughs so not a ton of stuff for them to snag on. My next pair, I will try on before I buy, as the boots on these are way too big for me. I should have returned them for a smaller size. I have a friend who got the...

    Green cattails camo

I was thinking Bottomlands would be a good choice. Between the color and vertical orientation of the pattern. I'll have to experiment next year. We've had a decent cold snap this week and has turned the color of things fairly quickly.

    Green cattails camo

Currently have waterfowl layers in Realtree Max-5. With it being so warm, the cattails are still very green and I feel like I still stick out even when I tuck myself in them. Does anyone use an alternative pattern when the environment is still so green? Hunting in marsh, standing in water about...

e-scouting for ruffed grouse in the northernmost part of the Midwest

Beat me to it. That being said I spent a good amount of time E-scouting based on the advice from this webinar and didn't see a feather when I hunted Sunday. To be fair, it was the first time I have ever attempted grouse hunting.

Flashlight? Do yall carry one or just your headlamp?

Definitely impressed with the thoroughness of your testing! For car camping with the wife, do you feel this would be a worthy purchase for added light around camp, or would you still pass for another illumination option?

I'm in the 2 headlamp camp. I saw this advertised and would be curious to hear everyone's thoughts on it. https://klymit.com/products/everglow-light-tube

    Things dogs eat …

My wife said I should have kept the ball and displayed it as expensive abstract art.
