Colorado deer in winter kill units

When I applied I didn't really have a back up plan for if they all got killed by snow. That wasn't even thought about during my planning last year. I thought of changing plans at the last minute in March but we decided to ride it out.

Colorado deer in winter kill units

So I should draw a tag in the middle of the winter kill area this year..... Bears ears, I'm trying to tell myself it won't be so bad. I assume most of the deer killed were doe and fawns. The buck we'd be looking for this year most have likely maybe survived ? Hoping for the best I guess.

    Couple’s getaway ideas

I'm not sure of a shopping destination but we go to Aruba a bit and it's an amazing get away. All inclusive package, drinks and food. You'll come home a bit heavier than when you left. The water, fishing, weather and people are great. It's a good reset for my wife and I after a big job or a long...

    Kuiu down

I just got the Kuiu down pants in the mail, I have a ptarmigan down coat I keep along and wanted a pair of pants. While they are nice they don't have a stuff sack. Did your jacket come with one and if not what are you guys using to keep in stuff in your bag and a little safe ?

    September Clothes

For those temps my favorite piece of clothing is the Kuiu zip off long underwear. I wear them in the morning starting out and you can take them off mid-morning while you still have your boots on. Zipping them on is a real pain but they work good for mornings. Top layer would be the skre puffy...

    Colorado list B tag question

I looked around for a while and can't find the answer. Are list B cow tags going to use preference points if drawn? I'm thinking of adding one of them to an over the counter bull tag hunt.

    Auto trolling motor?

I have an Ulterra and like it quite a bit. I had trouble with it early on, but it was a plug issue, I upgraded plugs and heavier wire running to the batteries. Since then, I've had no trouble. The spot lock and trolling features are amazing. I bought it because of river fishing winter walleyes...

    Taking a back up rifle?

I usually use a 300 WSM with a backup rifle in 30-06. The only time I used the 06 was in upstate NY because I left home with no ammo. You can guess what was available in the small local shops. Not 300 WSM

    Wyoming trout near Tetons

I'm going to be spending Oct 12th and 13th in Jackson Wyoming before our elk hunt. I plan to do some fishing with my spin gear around the Teton park. I'm staying at the Elk Refuge Inn for the couple nights before we pack in and wanted to bounce around the park for some pictures and hopefully a...

    Looking for camping near Casper?

I've stayed at the KOA in Casper near the car wash. A family from Minnesota bought it a couple years back and are pretty hunter friendly.... the owners before that I cannot say the same but weren't bad.
