Using Wyoming as an example, you can buy a PP for $50 each year and not hunt. You can build points year after year. Or you can put in for a really hard to get Limited Tag as your 1st choice and apply for an easier to get tag as your 2nd choice. If you are awarded that 2nd choice tag, you... -

Welcome, I am from Cincinnati too. Live in Southeast Indiana. You can hunt Colorado and Idaho every year on Over The Counter tags and build points elsewhere. Wyoming will probably take 2.5-3 points this year to hunt General Tag units. -

One question I still have. How are Type 4's as a 2nd choice allocated? If the unit has 10 of them, and 8 are still available after all 1st choices are looked at, how do they dole out those 8 to the 2nd choice candidates? Is it random, or by PP? -

You say I can't list a Type 6 as my 2nd Choice if I list a Type 1 as my 1st Choice. When, how, where do I apply for that Type 6 then? If the unit I want to hunt has a Type 4, I will shoot for that one. But if it doesn't and it only has a Type 6, then when do I apply for it? -

Exo Mountain 5500
Don't think you can go wrong with it. I have a 3500 and use it out west, tree stand white tail and throw weight in it and walk around town. I love mine. It forces me to shed gear sometimes, but you should be ok with the 5500.- CiK
