    Knee surgery recovery

    Not sure when or how (its been like this for almost a year) but my brother (a Dr) says I tore my meniscus. I'm fine for the most part but the day after running, softball, etc I can barely walk on it. Looks like I'll be headed for an MRI and surgery if need be...after hunting season of course.

    BigFin - How about a "hunt pronghorn every year" video or post?

    Lots of units in WY you can hunt with a point or two. Step 1 look for units that most people ignore because of lots of private land. Step 2 look for pockets of public in those units. Step 3 get yourself a good GPS and Onx map. Step 4 Draw Tag. Step 5: Enjoy the hunt, all aspects of it.

    Its going to be very expensive. I can't recall exactly what I paid to ship my elk meat home from AZ but it was many hundreds of dollars. Best bet is driving for sure.

    Wow they almost doubled the fee to $3250! I missed the deadline and my biggest gripe is they keep changing the application dates. in 2014 it was July-Aug, in 2015 it was Nov - Dec, in 2016 it was October and not they moved it to August.

    We there's only 16 NR tags so it will take a few years. I tried for 4 years then switched back to whitetail as I was sick of waiting (and I drew a muley tag in ND). I know cornfed from here drew this year. Not sure how many points he had.

    You can't draw whitetail buck tag without a point and it more likely takes 2 points to draw. I've kept track of the odds since 1999
