I think the best way to describe the performance I've experienced with the eldx is it performs just like a remington corelock or winchester PowerPoint when it hits, but is pointier with a way higher BC
That is interesting. That exact 162gr round shot accurately but with abysmal velocity (a little below advertised on the box, neighborhood of 2800-2850) out of my 26" 7mm rem mag. My rifle usually shoots at or above listed velocity. Anyhow this is the round that got me started reloading. I wanted...
The best thing I've found is I let folks come to me when it's convenient for me. So if I get stood up, it doesn't really affect me. I'm already at home.
Now buying stuff on Craigslist, that's a whole different story...
Just sold my old bow on Craigslist.
My observations selling my bow and lots of other things, if you want top dollar (80-90% of new) your going to be keeping your things. Alot of folks on Craigslist trying to sell old compounds for 250-300 and not one sells. I listed my 2011 assasin for 100 and...
I picked up some hardcast +p rounds for my 9mm. First day in the woods in my tree last week a sow black bear and 3 cubs came by within 50 yards of my stand. Very happy I did not procrastinate buying the hardcast. Also very glad I would have 15 rounds before reloading...
I think your iPhone 14 already does that. It's supposed to be free for 2 years Also from what I'd read on apples page. Apple said you can send messages via satellite as well as send your location.
The other question I have is I'm assuming if I'm in the middle of nowhere and use satellite to...
I muzzleloader hunt every year. In VA they did the seasons so the whitetail rut is primarily only during muzzleloader season. So if you want to hunt the rut gotta get a muzzleloader. Or I suppose you could take a bow during muzzleloader but it's the rut... no time to be dilly dallying around...
I had been considering a satellite emergency device like the inreach or zoleo as I hunt alot of public land in the mountains where there's no cell signal by myself climbing trees with a saddle. Well now that they are coming out with satellite messaging capabilities to cover that same emergency...
I should add that I Lap my rings to be sure they are perfectly aligned. And afterwards clean then off with alcohol and apply a little rosin powder before actually mounting the scope.
Might seem like a bit of extra work but the results are worth it. No scope issues or failures.
I think the best way is to think of what you want from your setup. Long arrows are free weight. My current arrows i had left full length. Had a 565 grain arrow for a couple years. As long as the spines ok, there is no drawback to taking the free weight if you want it. I since decided to come...
My method for picking a powder is this.
Look at load data for a given bullet/cartridge and pick the powder that has the highest velocity. Then look at is that powder available and is it temp stable? If yes and yes, I'm done. That's my powder. I've found this to work well for most of my...
Hey guys, I'm trying to install a tritium front sight bead on my rem 870. I am hoping to get any tips from any guys that have done this before. The bead is as tight as I can get it by hand and ain't aligned. My younger self would just crank down on it with a wrench, but I'm trying to avoid...
I've found buying the reloading magazines to be very handy. They always have load data in the back and usually list the barrel length of the test gun so you know what it was and can take that into account
