I'm not suprised at all, everytime I've dealt with Leupold their customer service was absolutely top notch! This seems very consistent over years. That combined with top notch products and I really don't even shop other scope brands.
This is why I get irritated when our county literally advertises to attract tourism. No don't attract people to come here. Leave it alone. The ones that find there way out here on their own, ok. But dagnabit quit inviting them. We don't want a bunch of city folks coming out here so the folks on...
I had shot 160 grain accubonds as my first bullet. But I shot a ram (curly horned kind) at maybe 100 yards and on an animal no bigger than a whitetail the bullet failed, it didn't get a pass through. The whole reason I had picked them was a decent b.c. while being tough and could hold together...
I have had great results with bullets from 150 grains to 162 grains. Mines a rem 700, I'm not 100% sure what my twist rate is. I personally like the 160-162 grains bullets. It seems like the weight the cartridge was made for and I think offers a good balance of muzzle velocity and ballistic...
I have a vx5 and vx6 scope and a couple of vx2 as well. Mine are the non HD versions and I don't think my eyes would be able to tell a big difference between the HD and non HD, the two non HD ones I have are the best scopes I've ever looked through, incredibly clear and bright. Im not sure about...
It doesn't matter which brand you go with as long as you get one piece bases/lower rings. Essentially the entire base and lower ring should be one machined part and the top ring. It's 2023, there's just no reason to buy any setup with 5 or so parts for the base, lower ring, bolt, nut, washer...
My two cents are, as soon as you find a load you really like buy at least 8 pounds of the powder or however much you'll need for 15+ years of shooting that gun. My rookie mistake was making an amazing load for my 7mm mag with 8133 powder. It ticked all the boxes like great velocity, accuracy, no...
I dont really get all the hooplah over the 12 vs 20. To me 20 gauge is a youth or for my wife. Mainly because of the smaller size/frame guns it'll come in. 12 gauge is the "standard". I can shoot anything from light target loads to 3.5" shells to deal with any situation a shotgun is needed for...
I dont own it, my mother in laws boyfriend has a BSA sweet 22 scope on his 22. It has a premarked elevation turret and is dead on. It's quite impressive. Sighted it in at 50, dead on at 100, goes out to around 150 yards, dials down to real close 10-20 yards. If I was going to buy another scope...
This was exactly my thought. I wouldn't want to eat it. I'd be nervous having it on my arrow anyhow, just my luck I'd trip and stick myself and be dead.
My 2A rights are what ensure I have to tools to be the one in control of what poisons are or are not injected into my body. Australia had the same problem Canada in the last year or so. Without firearms you truly don't have any other freedoms, the government has no respect for you.
Just curious, for the average guy do these bubble levels make a difference at hunting distances? I'm thinking at ranges I'd actually take a shot at a living animal which for me would probably be a max of 400 yards, maybe 500 in a perfect situation. I'm wondering is there anyone whose shot a...
I would get another vx5 3-15 or if you do alot of woods hunting, my 7mm mag wears a vx6 2-12 and my muzzleloader a vx5 2-10. The 2x with the vx5/6 series wide FOV is great for hunting in the thick woods.
I love those scopes. And knowing leupolds got my back if they ever have an issue. For what...
I would recommend letting the folks you bought them from install them for you. Most reputable local gun shops will install sights they sell for free. If you bought online, I'd return them and then go purchase from a LGS that will install them for free.
I have shot a bumch of foxes with a 223, most are dead right away, some have managed to run their wounded butts a ways before expiring. Your comment about sewing them up is true. I've got one fox while deer hunting with my 7mm rem mag. Shot him with a hornady SST. It literally blew him in half...
I'd shoot one with a 22lr if I seen one and all i had was a 22, but if I went hunting for one it'd be the 7mm rem mag. I have a strong dislike for foxes, coyotes, wolves. I prefer a cartridge that makes up for possible poor shot placement with sheer energy and explosiveness. Also my 7mm with good...
Don't use red loctite on firearms. You have to heat it to get it to remove. You dont want to have to put a torch on your scope if you ever needed to remove it. The blue is more than sufficient. The red is for bolts you have to have high reliability on and will never ever get to again.
In my...
