I feel ya! There have been a lot of those in CA in the last decade! Most people would never know that CA has the most “boating accidents” per capita! They almost always result in losing ones entire arsenal of firearms! Lol
That sensitivity and awareness of what it can be like if your state or the country became California are very wise to have!
I was born and raised here in California. Moved out of state when I joined the navy in 1999. Came back when I got out in 2007. This place has changed in the last 20 to...
No I don’t think raising the age to buy firearms will have any effect.
Murder is already illegal, and punishable by death in a lot of areas. If that doesn’t deter some mad man from carrying out these heinous acts, a misdemeanor or felony purchase/possession of a firearm surely won't either...
I believe that the B series of Mavens is also made here in the US. Is it the only company that actually makes a US made product?
Just an additional bonus for those who care about that stuff.
The thing that scares me is when/if “these people who want to ban AR-15s” realize that pretty much any other rifle will cause devastating wounds that make the 5.56 round seem like a pellet gun. What would happen then?
There are a lot of people who only shoot AR platform rifles. They could...
Thanks for clarifying.
The reaction you stated your friends and family have had about guns being in the classroom are a perfect example of what someone who has no experience with firearms would say. Obviously those individuals would probably not be a good fit for carrying a concealed weapon...
So since you know, and are related to a lot of teachers you are saying you don’t want them being able to defend themselves? Why is having the ability to defend yourself lunacy? I haven’t heard anyone say that the teachers should be held responsible for the students safety. I also don’t...
Where I am at we only have school resource officers at the high schools. They are on duty police that rotate through that position. Elementary schools get no such detail. Not sure why? The question I would ask is one cop enough to protect my kids while at school? I guess that would depend on...
Yeah I forgot to state that I was taking his quote out of context at the beginning of my post. But I do agree with what he said. Just not his ideals. That’s ok though.
We protect property, assets, people, anything of value everyday. Protecting things of value is nothing new. Yet we provide no protection for our children while they are at school?
I would suggest that protecting children at all would be a good start. Right now there is virtually zero...
I live in the area that Weatherby moved from. It seems almost every time I go to one of the local gun stores here, there is a used weatherby mark V sitting on the rack. Seems I have started gathering these rifles by the case! I only have 4 though. One is brand new in the box 1982 manufacture...
This x100. We need to realize that we are responsible for our own safety. The government can’t be responsible for your safety, and quite frankly most of us wouldn’t want that.
I don’t walk through bear country without the ability to protect myself. Why would I go to Chicago without the ability...
You should be proud of the fact that you can talk about problems like that without feeling any fear. I wish everyone could be like that. I know it’s not easy, but it is a process in the road to healing.
Keep fighting the fight!
They already have...... I know a lot of fellow veterans who won’t admit to any anxiety or ptsd issues for fear of losing gun rights. Being in CA may exacerbate this fear, so it is probably is different in other states. Particularly ones that are 2A friendly.
