Those that have “hunting women” in their lives are blessed! Other than my moose, my wife’s trophies are better than mine. She, like many of the other women hunters, puts in the hours and miles, helps field dress and pack game, works around camp....and then is always busy at home as well...- memtb

We used Vick’s Vapor Rub when I was a kid......stunk like hell but seemed to work! Sure cleared-out your sinuses too! ;)Today, they have patches, that you stick to your clothing! memtb- memtb

Learning to Handle Recoil
My wife shoots (very accurately) a sub 9 pound, scoped, loaded and slung, 338 WM. The stock was custom fit for her, a Pachmyar Decelerator recoil pad installed, and “does not” have a brake! After that, it was merely the desire to get comfortable with it. Also, good ear protection is a must...- memtb

Always check your turret caps
That’s the reason we went with “zero-stop” (I believe it’s called that)dials with our Leupold CDS scope. We originally went with the other option, the turret could be turned more than one revolution.....which could cause big problems! The “zero stop” limits our range to around 850... -

caliber: .375 H&H bullet: Sierra 300 grain BTSP Changed to a Hornady 270 grain SP, and a few years later to a Barnes 270 X, then to a Barnes 270 TSX, then a Barnes 250 TTSX ( have not gone to the Barnes 270 LRX yet) My opinion: when a 300 grain bullet from a .375 H&H does not...- memtb
