Holy moly that would scare the shit out of me too. In AIT in Ft Sam Houston in the Army I laid in the prone on a fire ant hill in the dark only laid there for about ten seconds before everyone thought I’d some how been hit with a live round. Ended up in the hospital because of the number of...
Go to your local archery shop ask if the have some bows on consignment might pay a little more but not by much. Then if they have more than one you could get them to set a few to your size let you shoot a few through each and see which one feels the best to you. Also this will introduce you to...
I like layering with GoHunt but onX is better on the mobile app use in the field. Also like OnX topo better. I use both and gohunt is getting less and less glitchy as the weeks go on. I tend to use GoHunt for all my escouting waypoints and planning and then what I find in the field and...
I have trouble getting anything done dreaming about bucks like that. Let alone having them out the window. Good luck to you hope that’s an area you can go opening day.
My first deer circa 1996 I miss the red and black lumberjack. I did get my fathers green wool pants when he passed. That was one of my favorite trips of all time just me and my pops. (which was rare with three siblings) None of them wanted to hunt until we brought this gal home.
One thing about Maine (I lived there for about 13yrs) is private land not posted is essentially public. Snow mobile trails cut through the majority of the state providing access with 4 wheel drive. We had the best luck around cattails and finding areas close to agricultural areas apple...
Hey guys a buddy of mine got a FCFS tag for antelope NV 41-42 units we will be going in blind as well. I’ve done a lot of escouting but I was hoping to find someone who has spent time in the unit to help bounce some questions off. Mainly about water sources that I’ve got way pointed and access...
Check out CO they have some real healthy populations of turkeys in certain areas and not to tough to get a hunt close to world class fishing. They have both fall and spring seasons for flexibility of scheduling as well. Good luck sounds like a real fun trip to plan.
Yeah it’s still tough to get one but if I was a NR hellbent on hunting NV. This ain’t a bad way to go. Now that I know next year there won’t be hardly any tags turned in and I’ll waste days staring at it lol.
Ya there’s a little clock below the wheel that tells you the last refresh ping you had. It seems to ping every 30seconds or so, I think outside of internet speed everybody gets them same time it’s just who is looking at that exact moment.
It’s honestly different everyday I see them between 7-5 but that’s cuz that’s when I’m able to watch every second, I just keep the window open in the corner of my monitor. I have not noticed an actual time they tend to show up more, it’s all over the place.
Who got it?? I hope it was one of you hunt talkers with 2 NR points who grabbed that 111-115 Archery Bull tag! Season starts today but man I don’t think I should watch this anymore, I had to sit on my hand to keep from trying to click on that one.
Yeah one of the elk talk podcasts with Randy and Corey, Corey talks about hunting in ID where a large fire had gone through just a few days prior and he was bugling back and forth with the bull and there were still stumps on fire around them. Seems they know how to get out of the way and come...
I think it depends on the area just in one overall mule deer unit in Nevada there is two areas that onX is way better but then there is a whole section of mountains that go hunt has far better imagery. So I honestly think if there’s a specific area that’s real bad if you report it to them (not...
