    HR 1581 and the RMEF

I just got the below mass email saying that RMEF was among the groups supporting HR 1581. Im assuming this is just email misinformation/propaganda. If RMEF is really endorsing HR1581, that would be just plain wrong and i imagine thousands would end their membership. i will in a heartbeat if this...

    Since this is the Fireside...

i recently watched a show but cant remember the name. the main guy was wearing a really small t-shirt from junior high to show off his muscles. Wildlifepursuit or something like that I vote for OYOA to use more tight clothing.

    Big Game needs big country

Ben, thanks. im really glad alot of the front is being conserved. I just got back from a trip to Outer Banks, North Carolina. I had not been there since a trip in 1999, back then it was fairly undeveloped and a beautiful place. now it is completely developed and almost every last open space...

Anyone here run a heat pump

ive run the numbers and the only way a heat pump will pay for itself is if you have air conditioning. FOr me Im heating a 2,600 sf house and it would take 19 years for simple payback. the real payback comes from AC.

whats a good mile run time?

thats not too shabby. If weight loss is your goal then id suggest staying closer to 8. If your more interested in getting to where you can keep going for long periods (>20-30 mins) then its more about finding a pace that doesnt make you go anearobic/out of breath so you have to stop and walk or...

    Chinese wall - trails/snow?

thanks Ben. A FS gal said the trail to larch hill pass still had 10 feet of snow and the trial 108 along the east side of the wall was closed. that much snow still surprises me so im trying to double check. we were looking at going up moose creek to wall.

12 minutes along the Rocky Mountain Front

well i just dont know what to call it to show a picture of the sun river game range sign immediately followed by shots of what i think are elk and maybe sheep from alberta waterton park. beautiful photographs of scenery and wildlife anyways, so i will shut up now.

12 minutes along the Rocky Mountain Front

hmmm, so are those montana wildlife or not? Im a wilderness supporter and really like Bynum photos. However if those elk and sheep pics are from the portion of the front range in Alberta also in Waterton and they are shown in a promotional video about the Montana Front, then i just wouldnt like...

12 minutes along the Rocky Mountain Front

Ben, do you know if any bios release elk flight count reports of the front? Btw I said that about waterton because I've gone up there to see the elk, sheep, and buffalo herds that Tony Bynum and Rod Sinclair have been photographing in and just east of waterton. Some of the bulls shown on the...

12 minutes along the Rocky Mountain Front

just watched the linked video, very nice photos. It appears that the majority of the wildlife shots are from up in waterton park. I recognize alot of the elk pics from up there anyways.

12 minutes along the Rocky Mountain Front

I have always wondered about the truth behind that claim. Seems like there are about three thousand elk on sr game range and there are a couple migratory herds in Wyoming besides Jackson that are the same or bigger. Then there is the northern yellowstone herd which until recently was larger.
