just got some used can am apatche tracks found used and fabricated custum mounts so it will fit my yamaha grizzly,,tried them out last week and it walks over springpack snow no problem,,will be tryin them out soon on my spring bear hunt
by the sno-tel sites its looking like there is still a fair amount of snow at 5000 ft 5 ft,,but relatively melted at 3800-4200 ft from what i can tell,,shal be a good test of my atv tracks
i tried them out last saturday as per pics and they make a world of difference on springpack crusty snow,,hardly sinks in at all,,maybe a few inches,but floats right over the spring crust snow,,regular tires on a quad or truck would be stuck in the first drift deeper than a foot or so,,i should...
after 10 years of looking,i finally found a used set of tracks and was able to fabricate the mounts to work with my grizzly atv,,im ready for spring bear now

although ive already been overly lucky in nevada,,{cal nr bighorn sheep tag in 2017 w .002 chance 1 in 5000 odds}already lucky for arizona elk this year w 2% chance,,ya never know when lightening could strike again.
if it turns into a draw and stays as the late june 5th l e app time frame,,i see this as a posible good second choice option to pick up a gen region tag if they are alotted the same number of tags,,i would think that alot wouldnt go until 2nd choices roll thru the process..havnt done idaho...
as long as you have some sort of 2nd option available,,my 1st 8 k heater kept throwing fault 8 or 10 so many times and smoking and not lighting at high elavation,i just yanked the whole thing out and replaced it with the 5 k automatic altitude w the nicer remote control for $120.. i will give...
im trying my 2nd one now,,this time i got a vever 5 k with automatic altitude adjustment//my 1st 8 k unit i had alot of issues with,,so i wouldnt 100% trust them,,they can be a bit tempermental at times//good luck.i use mine in my 7x14 trailer as a secondary heat source.
